Herbal Teas
Drinking tea is healthy and one great way to detoxify our bodies and inner systems as well from all the radicals all over and above us! Personally, it is one of my favorite chillax drinks. I have absolutely no doubt when it comes to its benefits, aside from the the slight dehydrating effect and bitter after-taste sometimes. But tea products have undergone such a remarkable development.

As careful as I always am, some herbal teas may counter effects of some RX drugs or cause some serious side effects.

  • severe diarrhea: senna (leaves, flowers & barks), buckthorn bark, dock roots and aloe leaves
  • allergic reactions: camomile, golden-rod, marigold & yarrow
  • cancer: sassafras
  • toxic / fatal: shave grass, Indian tobacco and mistletoe leaves
  • hallucinations: catnip, juniper, hydrangea, jimsonweed, lobelia, nutmeg & wormwood

You might want to stop drinking tea when taking meds or seek an advise before having one on your Sunday afternoon or just tell your doc what tea you are currently drinking along with his RX. For health, beauty and safety, might as well keep in mind these dont's when it comes to drinking herbal teas!

Cheers everyone! =)
