♥ Election Watch 7/'09 ♥

Ten short months to go, MAY 2010 election (including the presidential candidates) is just around the corner. Knowing and seeing so much of Philippines’ politics, a fairly refutable prediction can be given, i.e. as of now there are already lots of candidates who are rooting and splurging big bickies for political campaign ads and all other election ruckus.

Election in my country is almost like a “feast”, very alive and colorful. As to fairness, honesty or filthiness, let’s spare each other from commenting on these.

So far, the latest SWS survey (click here for full report) shows the following results as of June 2009.

1. Manny Villar 33%

2. Joseph Estrada* 25%
3. Francis Escudero 20%
4. Mar Roxas 20%
5. Noli De Castro 19%
6. Loren Legarda 15%
7. Panfilo Lacson 07%

Ten months to go and still counting, but never too early for voters to study carefully who are the “least evil” candidates. Another election. Another chance. Let’s not loose our hopes. It’s absolutely our choice not to keep it high but please do not loose it; it may be the last strand people could hold onto.

*as per Philippine 1987 Constitution: No president can be re-elected and Estrada having received a "presidential pardon", no possible way he can be a candidate.
