I only have 23 days left here in NZ and in those 23 days I could say I have free time in most of them, so I'm launching my own countdown & see or tracked what the hell would I do in those last 23 days. I wanna see if it'll just be wasted or life-changing, fun or boring, a learning experience or brain shutting. =)
So on the 23rd day before my flight back home, I decided to cook a meal!
Sachi's Menu: (I don't know what to call it) PorkedVeggie
Ingredients:
♥ pork (cut into medium sized pieces), can be marinated if you want. I marinated mine with teriyaki sauce.
♥ mixed veggies (pre-prepared) cut into pieces
♥ 1 onion sliced, half clove of crushed garlic
♥ soy sauce, fish sauce, pepper, salt, oil, water
Procedures:
1. In a pan, saute half of the garlic & onion, add the pork(may be boiled first) until done.
2. In a separate pan, after the pork is done, saute the other half of onion & garlic. put the veggies.
3. Put the pork in the pan with veggies.
4. Add water, soy sauce, salt, pepper and fish sauce.
What I had? A nice meal, a PorkedVeggie meal. The reason why I'm blogging this imperfect recipe of mine is because I want to do it again next time and I need something that would remind me how to do it and the best way I think of is through my blog! =p
Also, this meal, (actually every meal) that I prepare is a milestone for me since I really do not cook back in RP. I do bake but I hardly ever lay my hand on any meat or fish. And you know what, surprisingly it tasted just fine, oh no, it's good and that is without any recipe (modesty being aside). I just tried to remember how my mom cooks meats and veggies. Note that this is a healthy food as well because of the mix of vegetables. Just be easy on oil since the pork will also secrete oil while being cooked.
On the 23rd day before my comeback, I've proven to myself that I can cook and I can cook just fine. This is something I need to explore and enhance back home. =p
See you on our next roll!
All for Foodie,
Miss Sachi
