Remember what I told you that this past weekend is full of emotions? I think I can talk about it now without being too sentimental on the subject.
Last Sunday was our last day as parishioners of St. Bernard's Parish in which we served as CHOIR the first Sunday we got in there. The Parish gave us a little farewell tea party after the Sunday mass. We were overwhelmed by the people who are both appreciative and grateful with our singing among our other contributions to the parish. Me & Lovey shed some tears as well. Countless handshakes and parting hugs plus two yummy cakes just for us. Oh boy, the church's foyer is full of emotions. Katy, the lay pastoral leader is emotional too, saying she was crying even before we arrived. Katy has been a dear friend to us especially to me & Lovey. She loved us dearly and we love her just as much.
However, they are surely happy that we're getting our own house (their own house I mean). They wished us well and prayed that our new parish would know how lucky they are to have us. =p With all those words whose hearts (even the rock solid ones) would not be touched & softened.
The experience I had with St. Bernard's Parish is surely one of my life's treasure. That I think will never ever happen again to me, not in the Philippines at least. =) Or is it?
All Love,
Miss Sachi
