I've been so very busy and exhausted over the weekend. Care to know why? HOUSE MOVE it is. That's right me & 3 more flatmates moved, from Kingston, Brooklyn (near DT Welly) to Wainuiomata, Lower Hutt Oh, you wouldn't like to know how we did it over the weekend!
...and how up to now, we're not yet finish cleaning the mess up. Would you believe if I tell you that there was a point that I'd like to cry because of the terrible mess both in our old place and new home? Moving was hard! SO HARD. Thanks to my parents, I'm spared of moving a lot back in RP. If there's one thing positive about moving is that you'll find what you've been trying to look for and you'll be throwing lots of your long-stored stuff.
One friend told us a myth about our new home (mine for just a couple of weeks). He said that Wainiuomata means "Valley of Tears/Fears" (am not sure because of the accent). He told us that there was once a family/community who lived there a long long time ago that was murdered barbarously (cutting the tongue and pulling the teeth, etc.). Sure, it's frightening and intriguing and interesting. So I searched the Internet - and found no evidence/record of that incident. Wainuiomata simply means a big river (water), or something like that. Thank goodness it was just a myth (but who knows?). What's more important is, it is now a peaceful and beautiful community. A nice place to live in =p
How about you? Do you move a Lot?
I hope you had a wonderful fun & rest during the weekend!
All Love,
Miss Sachi
